tidewrack
Plastic is now socially and culturally embedded into our everyday lives Tidewrack, with its globe-like shapes is a metaphor for our fragile planet as it faces the anthropogenic threat. The fragmented ‘plates’ resemble tidal pools, and the seaweed tide marks left by the ebb and flow of the ocean. This triptych speaks of the domestic, reflects on my own plastic consumption and by extension that of my fellow humans, and it raises issues of our planet’s fragility.
